Maintenance workers heard barking coming from an apartment building’s trash chute — and discovered a senior dog trapped inside. No one knows how long she’d been there. Malnourished and unable to walk on her back legs, she still wagged her tail and lit up at simple kindness. Since being rescued by a senior dog rescue, her progress has been nothing short of miraculous. Despite everything she’s endured, she remains gentle, joyful, and full of fight — soaking up every pet, squeaky toy, and moment of love.
