She appeared every morning and night, waiting for them — and especially for their dog. The stray would follow them home, rub against the pup, and refuse to leave. Even someone who had never owned a cat couldn’t ignore that kind of devotion. When winter came, they brought her inside. At first, she was scared, but her bond with the dog never changed. Now Mila and Mika play together like it was always meant to be — proving sometimes the cat really does choose you.
